Breaktime: Can’t Ignore It Any Longer

Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Psalm 51:9

David again uses his words to ask God for forgiveness. His heart is a place where guilt is present and the heaviness of it all is more than he can bear. I love it that he could no longer tolerate sin in his life. This is the place where God can meet us all.

But all too often, we may try and ignore the wound of sin or cover it with acts of righteousness. We may try the blame game and justify our behavior. We can try all kinds of reasoning methods to cope with the sin −as we try to numb ourselves with all sorts of vices. Sin has even been known to cause sickness when left unattended.

Are you like David, tired and weary of trying all the methods that don’t work when trying to find relief from your sin? Then its time to confess and ask God to blot it out. To forgive the offense so that guilt is gone when entering God’s presence. We can be set free from our shame before God because the cross of Jesus provided the way for us all. Are you ready to admit and confess?

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  I John 1:9

Today in the Workplace
