Living in Unity
When the kings joined forces, when they advanced together, they saw her and were astounded; they fled in terror. Psalm 48:4
When the enemy rises and comes against the church, he cannot stand when the walls are standing in unity. When the enemy takes a look at the church and sees them standing together, he flees in terror. The walls the church should be known for are ones of unity amongst our diversity.
The church shouldn’t be known for what separates us, but what brings us together. When there are gaps of disunity among us the enemy has a door to creep in. When diversity leads us to disagree without love, we leave an open door for the enemy to reveal to the world our hypocrisy.
The enemy loves it when we focus on the things we disagree on instead of standing together in unity. If the church can’t get along, why would any outsider want to come in and belong? When the church is belittling each other how would anyone see Christ living in us? Church, the days are filled with evil, and its time to stand up together and watch the enemy flee. The walls we should be putting up are walls of unity amongst diversity.
