Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. Psalm 51:6
God desires our inward nature to be influenced by the wisdom He provides, but we can only do this when we allow the teachings of God to become our truth. Once they are accepted as truth, we, therefore, walk-in faithfulness and we stay faithful no matter what temptation comes our way.
We become more aware of God’s Holy ways for our lives when we are teachable in the heart. When we allow the Word of God to be more than just words, and we accept an inward way of living. God’s ways are higher ways of life and we no longer have to take the practices of this world as our way.
David said he was taught wisdom in that secret place, and the secret place is our heart, which only God can see. He sees the depths of our inward life, the places we try to hide. We may try and hide away some of our sins but the Lord allows everything to be brought into the light. He goes to the secret places with us and He teaches us wisdom. God shows Himself to us in the secret places, He already sees and knows, so why would we hide from Him.
