Breaktime: The New Life

The New Life
But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead;
 he will surely take me to himself. Psalm 49:15

Don’t you love the truth of God redeeming those who trust in Him? Jesus came to earth and completed the work of redemption for those who trust in Him. We have been saved from the realm of the dead and thankfully, we didn’t do it on our own.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13,14

Our residence has changed from the dominion of darkness to the Kingdom of God and in His kingdom, His promises are the truths which we walk in. We no longer listen to the voice of darkness for, we have been given ears to hear the truth of all Jesus desires to give. He has rescued us, and now we no longer are living for the god of this world.

Redemption is the work God finished through Jesus when on the cross, our sins were laid. Friends, He has changed us from the inside out. Redeemed people should walk redeemed, no longer tied to the sin and shame of their past but set free. Often this means we walk contrary to the way those around us may be walking.  The price has already been paid, so walk today in all the newness Jesus has given.

Today in the Workplace
