Breaktime: The Refuge

God is Present

God is our refuge and strength,  an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

God is very present in our life and growing in the realization of His presence is what ushers in His beauty. We, like the Psalmist, were created to need God for He didn’t make us self-sufficient but dependent upon His strength.

Haven’t we all been scared in life and wondered what was around the next turn? Life can seem fragile when left to ourselves, so when troubles arise, and we know they will, thankfully we have someone higher than ourselves to be our refuge. God is the first source for every difficulty in life no matter how small or large. He is the first place to run and find what we need to take the next step.

Life is filled with troubles, whether it be financially, physical, relational, emotional, or you can fill in your own heartache. Many of these troubles show up each day of our lives, and the Psalmist understood what many of us might miss, God is present in all of our stress. He is present now in whatever situation we may find ourselves in; God is there. There is no need to wait to see God for He is present. Just call out to Him!
