Finding Freedom

Finding freedom
You sold your people for a pittance, gaining nothing from their sale.  Psalm 44:12

Now the feelings of slavery have crept into the camp. Their life now is consumed with sorrow as one under the influence of being used by another. They were taken away as being used by another.

We may never be sold, but there are many things which are competing for the sale of our soul.  Even our current situation may fight for your unity with God. We can become so convinced of life’s hardships that we allow our soul to become consumed with its pressures. We all have troubles of many kinds, but we don’t have to become a slave to its effects. The sorrow doesn’t have to own us, for we can find strength as we walk through it with Christ.

Nothing can own our feeling and emotions without our consent. We are no longer slaves to how we feel, but Christ has freed us from the oppression of their calling. We can become enslaved in many ways, especially during times of hardship. The most considerable freedom we have is to admit and walk forward owning our situation before it owns us. Walking through it with Christ will allow the enemy no room to bring us back to slavery.

For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. I Cor. 7:22,23
