Be pleased to save me, Lord; come quickly, Lord, to help me. Psalm 40:13
The Psalmist has a sense of urgency in his troubled state. David knew the place to go with the sin in his life and he could no longer stay in the state he was in and needed God to come quickly. He knew he needed help with his sin.
Children of God, waking up to the help of God can make us new so we often pray but do we ever confess? Being quick about our need, the sooner the relief. We all go through tough times because of our sin but admitting the need for help, is where the soul finds peace and assurance.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3
We are blessed when our soul needs help. It is when we are too proud to admit our need that we forfeit the peace of God. God invites us into finding the comfort we need, and we are blessed. The most freeing step we can take today is to call out to Him for help.
