The Work for a Lifetime

But all sinners will be destroyed; there will be no future for the wicked. Psalm 37:38

The future for the wicked is completely different than those who seek peace and Jesus. It all depends on the companionship one wants to keep. If they keep seeking immoral behavior, they will come to a ruin. The end for the temporary happiness and hopes they may have once dreamed of, may come crashing down.

It is difficult to imagine sinners being destroyed with no future left. It is not what Jesus intended because He demonstrated His love for all.

For God so loved the world that He gave His son.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:16-18

The end doesn’t have to be the end because there is eternal life. Belief is the doorway to entering a lifelong relationship. However, when belief is resisted then condemnation is the result. There is an answer for the destruction of the sinner, it is with Christ and by faith we receive. We don’t earn or deserve it but we receive, by faith, the work Christ has done for us.
